International Short Film Festival - Write-Up About GISFF 2011

North - East will speak. And it will say the first Guwahati International Film Festival will be gathered under one roof mainly Eastern filmmakers. The independent and amateur film-makers will also rally.

It will have the opportunity to demonstrate the excellent short films North - East's best culture will be among us. April 2011, with organizers having the two - day event is also invited to many film personalities.

"First Guwahati International Short Film Festival 'organizer' Kariyovent Productions' in this effort that in the event of the world's best short films to be shown to the audience.

North - East has potential. It is beautiful, attractive. It may be ideal for short films. Organizers say their efforts in this direction is a positive thinking. "We are a forum for those interested in the films are ready. Amateur filmmakers will be here to show your talent. Workshops and seminars will be held at the movies. This spot is a competition being held. "

See, the function of the short film market, the new option comes before us. But such efforts should simply not let go. Is there a movie channel partners will play in the short film festival? emerging filmmakers will make any partner? Short films must now show the channels.talented film makers to advance the platform must.

The 39th year celebration is getting bigger on May 24, 2011 and incorporating everything in one small promo was a challenge for us.

Unexplored Paradise.....

The unexplored paradise 'Garbhanga Village' is situated near Assam-Meghalaya border....most of the students of Parijat Academy are from this village. Great effort by Mr. Uttam Teron who has provided hostel for the children of Garbhanga at Parijat Academy.

The village is disconnected from the city with no electricity, mobile network, hospital and no roads. Only 17 kms from Lokhra Chairaili but it took us 6 hours to commute both ways.

Our journey has been memorable as we went through narrow kuccha jungle roads with 100% chances of encountering Elephants and Tigers. Finally we survived :-) phewwww.. The people of the villages are very simple, humble and well behaved.
Kudos to Uttam for taking the pain to spread education to Garbhanga village..

Three Cheers!
