'Painted Dreams' To Be Launched On December 16, 2011



So finally the much awaited EP 'Painted Dreams' by Alobo Naga & The Band will be launched on December 16, 2011 at Hiyo's Cafe, Dimapur, Nagaland.

Proud to state that the song Painted Dreams - Official Theme Song Of 1st Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF) reached the TOP 4 position at VH1 International Chartbusters.

The video is conceptualised and directed by Prithish & Puja Chakraborty and Produced by Creovaent Productions.

So we are proud to announce that talented and popular Alternative Metal band LUCID RECESS from Guwahati will be making the official theme song of 2nd Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF), 2012.

The official music video of 2nd GISFF with Lucid Recess will be shot by Creovaent Productions and will be released & distributed worldwide.

LETZ SHOOT – A STUDENT SHORT FILM COMPETITION ENTRIES NOW OPEN





In order to encourage filmmaking from early stages among students, Creovaent Productions today announces its new initiative ‘LETZ SHOOT – shoot your own entertainment’ – a student short film competition.

‘LETZ SHOOT – shoot your own entertainment’ a student short film competition is started with the noble objective of encouraging the students to understand filmmaking, its techniques and to take it as a career. ‘LETZ SHOOT – shoot your own entertainment’ will be the first of its kind film competition dedicated entirely to the students from North-East India.

The main event is schedule for January 28, 2012, Saturday. The initiative by Creovaent Productions has been supported by the Department of Mass Communication & Journalism of Guwahati University, SHAMIANA – popular short film club from Mumbai and Seven Sisters Post. Creovaent Productions will be glad to see other brands and educational institutions joining hands and come forward to support the student competition.

“The main motive to introduce the competition of short films for students is to give them exposure to the latest trend of filmmaking from the very beginning. The competition will also encourage students to showcase their creative talent and most importantly any students from any stream can participate. We will also encourage students to start with zero budget filmmaking by shooting the short films with their mobile phones”, said Mr. Prithish Chakraborty, Filmmaker & Founder of Letz Shoot & Guwahati International Short Film Festival, Creovaent Productions.

The submission of short films begins from today where the students can download the entry forms with the rules & regulations details from the competition website – www.letzshoot.webs.com and also the entry forms will be disseminated to all the important colleges, universities and institutes across North-East India. The entry form can be downloaded for free and also the competition is restricted to only students from North-East India.

The winning short film in the competition will get the Wild Card entry for the North-East Competition section at prestigious 2nd Guwahati International Short Film Festival schedule to happen on 1st week of May, 2012 and also the short film will be absorbed by SHAMIANA for national screening. Apart from that the winner will get Certificate, Cash Honorium and an Award.

The deadline for submitting the entries is January 15, 2012, Sunday. The list of final 20 short films selected by jury panel for the main competition will be announced on January 21st, 2012, Saturday.

The finale of the first edition of ‘LETZ SHOOT’ will comprises with daylong activities on January 28, 2012 at the Guwahati University Campus which will see a perfect blend of special screening of award winning short films from across the world (Courtesy SHAMIANA), main competition and interactive sessions with the eminent jury panel.

Top Honours For Creovaent Productions At Nagaland Music Awards



After making waves in the International Music Channel VH1, the debut music video ‘Painted Dreams’ by Creovaent Productions has added another feather to its cap by getting the top honours at the Nagaland Government supported Nagaland Music Awards which concluded recently.

The music video ‘Painted Dreams’ which is composed by Alobo Naga & The Band and Produced, Conceptualized & Directed by Prithish & Puja Chakraborty of Creovaent Productions got ‘Best Rock Song Of The Year’, ‘Best Producer of The Year’ and ‘Best Sound Engineer of the Year’.

“We are really very happy and proud to get the top honors for our music video. Thanks to everyone who loved and voted for us at Nagaland Music Awards. It encourages us to send our music video to other festivals across world,” said Ms. Puja Chakraborty, Filmmaker & Co-Director of the music video ‘Painted Dreams’.

The music video was made as a theme song of 1st Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF) by Creovaent Productions which concluded on May 2nd & 3rd, 2011 at Assam State Museum Auditorium this year.

“It feels great to get recognition for your maiden effort and now our video will travel in other festivals internationally that have music video category. This award goes to all who were involved in making of the video. SHAMIANA screening at Parijat Academy




Spirit Underground & Creovaent Productions initaitive of taking making short films popular and easily accessible to the students as a part of Creovaent Educational Initiative has started today with its second consecutive screening of short films from SHAMIANA - a popular short film club from Mumbai at PARIJAT ACADEMY- an underprivileged school at Pamohi, near Garchuk, Guwahati.



PARIJAT ACADEMY is being promoted by Mr. Uttam Teron and Mr. Teron is very happy & encouraged to give his students exposure to filmmaking world.







The screening will be happening regularly along with special workshops for the students.

GUWAHATI, Oct 1 – Alobo Naga & The Band from Dimapur has become the first band from North East to grab the top 4 position in international channel VH1’s Top 10 International Countdown with its hit video single ‘Painted Dreams’, a Press release said.

The music video ‘Painted Dreams’ is being conceptualised and produced by Guwahati-based Creovaent Productions and is being directed by Prithish Chakraborty & Puja Chakraborty. The music video was made as a promotional theme song for Creovaent Productions prestigious 1st Guwahati International Short Film Festival that happened in May this year.

In its effort to promote talent from North East, Alobo Naga & The Band is being promoted by corporate like Spirit Underground to help them make it big nationally and internationally.

Currently, the band’s video ‘Painted Dreams’ is on number 4 position in VH1 competing alongside international heavyweights like Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Red Hot Chilli Pepper, Superheavy to name a few. In the coming days, the band is hoping to make it to the number 1 position with the support of its fans and well wishers.

The band is also releasing its four song album titled ‘Painted Dreams’ by end of October after they return from a brief pre-promotional tour for their album in Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Gurgoan and Noida starting October 8.

The band is managed by Unicornis Movement Pro Records – North-East India’s First Independent Record Label and the bands album will be exclusively marketed & promoted by the label, the release said.

LET's SHOOT - a student short film competition.

Creovaent Productions announces yet another initiative to promote short films in North-East India with a new concept called LET's SHOOT - a student short film competition.

LET's SHOOT is a concept developed by Mr. Prithish Chakraborty, Filmmaker & Founder of Guwahati International Short Film Festival. 

The main aim is to encourage students from North-East India to show their creativity by means of short films. Any concept, any short films with any subject can be submitted.

The student short film competition comes with the tag line ‘by the student, of the student, for the student’. The competition is only restricted to North-East India.The entire initiative is to create a platform for the students to showcase their creative talent.


The main event of LET's SHOOT will happen in January 28, 2012 and by next month the rules & regulation and other details will be announced for students to participate by filling the entry forms.

SHAMIANA August Screening In Guwahati & Dimapur Begins

Creovaent Productions has tied-up with Shamiana - a popular short film club from Mumbai to bring in monthly screening format of award winning short films from across the world.

The August 2011 screening was a great success with positive response from media, film lovers and media students.

The screenings happened at regular venue of the short film club at Basement Jaxx, Guwahati, prestigous Guwahati University and Hiyo's Cafe, Nagaland. The screened short films are:
