VOICES IN KISAMA BY ABIOGENESIS

Grammy Nominated Rock|Fusion band – Abiogenesis from Nagaland today announced the making of its official music video ‘Voices In Kisama’.


The ‘Voices In Kisama’ was be premiered in national television VH1 on May 22, 2015 in the India Rules section and will be followed by the telecast in other national channels like MTV Indies, 9XO, Songdew in India. Internationally, the music video will be telecasted in BBTV, USA, a TV show series which has exclusive national airtime to over 15 million viewers on 9 major cable companies with broadcast times in Nashville, Manhattan, Brooklyn, San Francisco, New Jersey, Down the Jersey Shore, Nevada, California, New Mexico and many other cities and towns across the US and in Go Indie TV Roku Channel in the UK, Canada and the USA.

Speaking more on the occasion, Moa Subong – Founding member and Guitarist, Abiogenesis said, “Voices In Kisama is an instrumental piece with the two new Naga bamboo musical instruments Bamhum & Tikzik being played in the video. Most of the footages have been shoot live in Kisama during Hornbill festival 2014. Through this song, Abiogenesis intends to promote not only Naga Howey music but also tell and show to the world about the colourful Hornbill festival held at Kisama annually.”

Abiogenesis teamed up with North-East premier production house, Creovaent Productions to make the music video. The video has been directed by Prithish and Puja Chakraborty, Director of Photography was done by Betoka Swu, Editing was done by Jhulan Krishna Mahanta, Executive Producer was Banashree Chowdhury and Production Controller was Pito Swu.

Adding more about the music video, Puja Chakraborty, Co-founder, Creovaent Production said,”It was a challenge for us to shoot the video live during Hornbill Festival, but it was fun. Working with Abiogenesis was very good, as they trusted us and gave us complete freedom in the creative process. We shot the video in record 48 hours and hope that people will love to watch something new from us. We look forward to work with them again.”

The year 2015 also happens to be the 10th anniversary year of Bamhum and Naga Howeymusic. Bamhum was unveiled by the then Governor of Meghalaya Shri M.M. Jacob on 3rd May 2005 during the International Bamboo Fest at Shillong. As part of the anniversary, preparation is on for a 100 piece Bamhum Ensemble performance later this year in a major function.
