We Completed Two Successful Years

Creovaent Productions completes its two years on December 21, 2012.

The year 2012 was a successful and learning phase for us, as our music video 'Painted Dreams' by Alobo Naga & The Band winning 'Best Indian Act' at MTV Europe Music Awards, 2012, 2nd Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF), 2012 was a grand success and most importantly, the work we did in 2012 was satisfactory.

To carry the new year 2013 forward, we as a production house will be formally stepping into the film industry with our debut short film 'Between Lines' to be directed by Prithish & Puja Chakraborty and the screenplay is adapted from the short story titled 'Between Lines' by Puja Chakraborty. 

The new year will see another two short films from our stable along with the announcement of our debut feature film. Also we will be making the high profile music video of Alobo Naga & The Band from Dimapur, Nagaland.

The third year of GISFF will be held in November 2013, thus making it as a winter film festival from third year. 

So hope 2013 will be a good year with many things to learn & experience.

‘I AM’ 2012 National Award Winner For Best Hindi Film To Be Premiered At 2nd Guwahati International Short Film Festival

Onir, one of the most promising filmmakers of Indian cinema, will be a jury member at the 2^nd Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF), to be organized by Creovaent Productions in the city from May 4rth to 6th, 2012.

Onir’s acclaimed film ‘I AM’, a compendium of four short films that won the National Award for the Best Hindi Film as well as received the National Award for Best Lyrics recently, will have its North-East India Premiere at the festival in the presence of the filmmaker.

Based on issues of dilemmas that bruise the modern Indian society, the movie ‘I AM’ will be discussed by its maker, Onir, who will also have a special interaction with the audience and the media after the screening of his film, shot across four different cities across India.

The jury, will be headed by Gautam Bora senior filmmaker, along with Cyrus Dastur, founder of Shamiana, a popular multi-city short film club, National Award winning director Sanjeev Hazarika and National Award winning Film Critic for 2012 Manoj Barpujari.

The preview jury will be headed by noted cinema and theater person Nayan Prasad, and will have other experts like film critic Chandan Sarmah, editor Kaju and film society activist Nesimul Mazid. The preview juries will shortlist the entries for final screening at the festival

The 2^nd Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF), 2012 will organize a number of seminars, workshops and open discussions in the month of April as a run towards the international short film festival.

The 2012 festival cause of the year is “Anti-Tobacco” and to promote the same series of street plays will be conducted with the support of 2^nd Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF), 2012.

Guwahati, February 28, 2012: Creovaent Productions today announces the call for entries of Spirit Underground presents 2^nd Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF), 2012 in association with Idea and supported by SHAMIANA. The 2nd edition of Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF), initiated by Creovaent Productions will take place from 4th to 6th, May 2012 with the festival theme for 2^nd edition as breaking myth.

The festival now calls for entries from around the world for its competitive and non-competitive sections. The deadline for submission is April 4, 2012.

The non-competitive sections include World Kaleidoscope and Indian Kaleidoscope while the competitive sections include North-East Shorts Competition (Open Only For Filmmakers From North-East India Region) and National Mobile Phone Short Filmmaking Contest.

This year GISFF has include a special Audience Award for its non-competitive sections that include World and Indian Kaleidoscope. The audience will vote the short films selected for these sections during the screening of the films from May 4th to 6th, 2012.

While the competitive sections will be judge entirely by main jury panel consist of eminent film personalities from Indian Film Industry.
